Hunger Initiative

BS Hunger Initiative LogoThe Hunger Initiative joins with our neighbors to ensure that all stomachs are filled with wholesome foods.  Through the Hunger Initiative, we strive to become disciples of Jesus Christ by obeying Christ’s command to feed the hungry & spread Christ’s message by meeting the most basic needs of life. Church members give of their time & gifts to support food drives & feeding ministries with our partner agencies and schools both locally and globally.  As a church we believe that access to plentiful, healthy food is at the center of Christian ministry.

BUMC Parking Lot
Potato and Produce Project with the Confirmation Class

BUMC is partnering with the Society of St. Andrew to host a produce sorting and packing event in our parking lot. The produce will be dropped in the BUMC parking lot and we will be bagging it for delivery.  We are looking for 100 volunteers to help the confirmation class with this project. The packaged produce and goods will be taken to families via partner organizations.
