Harvest Hands is a Christian Community Development ministry birthed out of BUMC in 2007. The mission of Harvest Hands is to be a catalyst for Christ-centered, wholistic community development working alongside our neighbors to further healthy living, education, spiritual formation, and economic development in South Nashville.

Summer Internships

Harvest Hands is seeking enthusiastic, creative, and highly-motivated college students and recent college graduates who have a mature relationship with Jesus Christ to join our team for Summer 2016. Summer internships are paid and unpaid, and involve working with elementary-aged student to engage in exciting experiences, continuing their learning, and growing in their relationships with God and others. Summer Volunteer Opportunities

We need you for our team of dedicated volunteers this summer at Harvest Hands!
We are currently seeking:
Morning volunteers to assist students in one-on-one and two-on-one reading and math games. All games are planned by Harvest Hands Staff, so volunteers are able to "just show up" and enjoy building relationships and skills with students! Volunteers can choose to commit to one morning a week throughout the summer, or one full week throughout the summer, depending on preference. Positions are available for Mondays through Thursdays, from 8:45-10:45am.
Afternoon volunteers called Track Experts to assist and the planning and implementation of Special Tracks for multi-grade groups of students. Are you interested in the areas of Sports, Arts, or Science and Technology? If so, this job is for you! Our staff will assist you in teaching a week long curriculum within your preferred area. Positions are available for the weeks of June 6-10, June 13-17, June 20-24, June 27-July 1, July 5-8, July 11-15, and July 18-22, from 12:20-2:20pm.
Field Trip Fridays are one of our favorite parts of the summer. Could you be a Friday Field Trip Hero? Field Trip Heroes commit to contributing monetary donations towards at least one of our field trips, and also join as a chaperone as they desire!
