We have many ministry opportunities going on each week to help you connect with others, grow in your faith and use your gifts. If you are a new youth to BUMC in the 7th-12th grade, we hope you will join us on a Sunday night for worship, small groups, and youth choir.

  • PASTOR-ON-CALL - In the event of an after-hours emergency, please call at 615.969.3086. Please leave a message and a Pastor will call you back.
  • HOSPITALIZATION OR DEATHS - To notify the church of the hospitalization or death of a church member or a church member’s loved one after hours, please contact the Pastor-on-Call at 615.969.3086.

Births

  • Birth Notifications -In the event of a birth or adoption to a church member’s family, please contact Julie Donley in our Congregational Care office at 615-373-3663, ext.254 .  Births and adoptions are listed in our worship service bulletins.
  • Pastoral Care - To schedule a pastoral care appointment with one of our pastors, please contact the Congregational Care office at 615.373.3663, ext.254.
  • Rosebuds & Cradle Crosses - Births and adoptions are listed in our worship service bulletins and rosebuds are placed on the baptismal font in honor of newborn children.  Newborn children receive a cradle cross from Children’s Ministry, the rosebud placed on the font in their honor, and a copy of the worship bulletin listing their name.  For more information or for birth notifications, please contact Julie Donley in our Congregational Care office at 615.373.3663, ext.254 or .
  • Meal Assistance - Our Fish and Loaves team provides temporary (2-4 weeks, 3-4 meals per week) meal assistance to church members, their families, and friends who are unable to prepare healthy meals for their households due to crisis. For assistance, please contact Lindsay LeBreton at

Hospitalizations

  • Hospitalization Notifications - In the event of the hospitalization of a church member or a church member’s loved one, please contact Julie Donley in our Congregational Care office at 615.373.3663, ext.254 or
  • Hospital & Rehabilitation Facility Visitation - The Pastoral Staff of BUMC visits area hospitals on a regular and rotating basis during the week to offer prayer and spiritual support.  Lay visitors and Stephen Ministers visit on the weekends.  Hospitals do not inform the church when its members are admitted.  If you or a family member is hospitalized, please contact Julie Donley, Administrative Assistant to Caring Ministries:  615.324.7254, .  In the case of an emergency on the weekend or after regular church office hours, please contact the Pastor On Call at 615.969.3086 - Please leave a message and a Pastor will call you back.

  • Cancer Support - Our Partners in Hope - Companions in the Journey of Cancer team provides support to the people of Brentwood UMC and the community who have been diagnosed with cancer.   • Alive Hospice - Through Alive Hospice, those who have a limited life expectancy, regardless of their type of illness or age and live within the Alive Hospice service area, are able to access in-home, residential, and inpatient hospice services and grief support counseling and support.  For assistance, please contact Alive Hospice at 615.327.1085 or www.alivehospice.org.
  • Stephen Ministry - Stephen Ministers are members of our church who have received extensive training and provide confidential, one-to-one, Christian care to people who are dealing with health crises and other difficulties.
